Mr. Logan joined VMware in October, 2015, and in his role he is responsible for empowering healthcare organization to achieve their strategic outcomes through the implementation of VMware’s solutions. Mr. Logan most recently was the Chief Information Security Officer for Care New England Health System located in Providence, RI, where his role was providing security and technology leadership and enabling positive business outcomes for the organization and its partners.

Mr. Logan has been in the IT community for over 22 years where his main focus has been delivering technology leadership in both an operational and strategic capacity, spanning both public and private sector organizations. He has also worked in both security and technology leadership roles at Lifespan Corporation, Century Bank, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and he served in the United States Marine Corps. Chris was also a professor at Providence College in their graduate school of business, where he provided instruction to graduate students on the management of information technology and operations and service management. He holds multiple industry certifications which include the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium as well as an MBA from Bryant University. He is also a board member for Association for Executives in Health Information Security (AEHIS).

Mr. Logan has assisted the organizations he has served by architecting systems and solutions that address their strategic, financial and operational objectives. He has extensive leadership experience in the areas of information security, privacy, compliance, continuity planning, standards adoption and implementation, vendor management and IT leadership. He is a past advisory board member for multiple technology solution providers and is a frequent speaker on topics related to technology modernization, leadership and information security and privacy.
